What is an artist proof?

Artist Proofs are 1-of-1 printed versions of art drawn digitally. With more artists drawing digitally these days, there are no physical paper-and-ink versions of these pieces of published art, so we custom-print a single AP as the only physical version, and include a Certificate of Authenticity signed by me, Geoff Martin (owner of GMAS).

why is shipping so expensive?

For three reasons: 1. Shipping has become more expensive inside and outside the United States, and I primarily use UPS to ship, as USPS is struggling with safe/timely handling of packages. 2. With a fair number of GMAS artists being outside the US, they have to batch-ship art to the US, then I ship it out to clients. And 3. I always ship packages with insurance for the full amount of the contents.

what if my art is lost or damaged in transit?

If your shipment is damaged, please email a picture of the art, packaging material and package (art separately and all of the above in one picture) so I can submit an insurance claim. If your art is completely destroyed or lost in transit, a full refund is the most likely course; if your art is slightly/somewhat damaged, a partial refund is likely.
